“We engaged Ian and BEL Construction to renovate our industrial building in Cheadle. The building was originally a stable built in the late 1800s, had been repurposed during the Second World War as a munitions factory and had been derelict since 2001.
The first phase of work involved a full refurbishment to bring the building up to modern day standards, including structural repairs, extensive soundproofing, and the creation of several distinct units: a commercial kitchen, a manufacturing space, and a large open-plan office. All works were carried out to meet current building regulations, with careful attention paid to the building’s heritage and long-term usability.
As part of the project, Ian and the team at BEL Construction also coordinated with other nominated subcontractors, ensuring smooth communication and integration across all trades and disciplines. Their ability to manage this process effectively played an important part towards the project’s success.
Following the successful completion of this phase, BEL delivered a substantial extension during a second phase of building works and have continued to oversee a range of maintenance and improvement tasks across the wider site.
